4. Kerb appeal. Many sellers concentrate so hard on the interior of their property they forget about the exterior, and as they say, first impressions count. Think about how a stranger sees the outside of your home when they pull up to it. Do your bushes need pruning? Could you freshen up the exterior with some gravel or by power-hosing your driveway?
5. Dress for success. Although you still need to live in your home until it is sold, dressing it for sale and keeping it that way can make a huge difference to the way people perceive it. Invest in a few tasteful decorations, some nice wall art and some good throws for the beds, to freshen things up.
