Buying a Used Car is More Cost Effective

One of the biggest advantages of buying a used car is that they are always cheaper than their new counterparts. This means that you can buy a model that would be out of your price range if you were buying new, or indulge in that sporty vehicle you’ve always wanted. Buying a used car is always going to be a budget friendly option because the previous owner has already taken the initial hit in terms of depreciation.

When a car is first driven away from the dealer’s lot it begins to decline in value, and the biggest depreciation occurs within the first three years of purchase. You can always guarantee that you’re getting a bargain when it comes to used cars. Another reason why buying used is a more cost effective option is that even if you’re not 100 percent satisfied with the appearance of a used vehicle, you’ll have more money left over to make any improvements or add the gadgets that you and your family need.

You Pay Less in Insurance Premiums

If you’re after a car that won’t cost the earth when it comes to insurance, then a used model is for you. Insurance fees are much higher for new cars, so if you’re torn between a new and a used vehicle, this could be the deciding factor.

Used Cars are Getting More Reliable

It’s no longer a risk to buy a used cars as there are now so many reputable dealers that offer used vehicles. They have genuine history guarantees and the car’s paperwork in terms of the MOT certificate and service bills must be in good order before these dealers will take them on as sale vehicles. There has been a general increase in the durability and reliability of cars, so when you buy used you can rest assured that the vehicle will last you for many years to come. If you’re interested in purchasing a used vehicle, contact a trusted dealer such as Exchange and Mart. Reputable dealers will be happy to provide you with the full service history of the vehicle you’re interested in and answer any questions you may have.

It’s always worth buying a used car that’s 2/3 years old.. most are ex-finance so in really good nick too. If you’re lucky they’ll even have the original tyres on too – Mine had brand new Michelins on when I got it – I was pretty lucky there!
