5 highly effective and simple ways to be thrifty #5frugalthings

This week I have been largely thinking about shopping. we have a holiday coming up and there is stuff we need for it HOWEVER money is tight so I am having to think around it. I am prepared to spend as little as poss.

I have some thrifty tools up my sleeve:

I revisit my money saving Pinterest board where I have collated lots and lots of fab thrifty ideas.

I have the perfect shopping list, in actual fact the only shopping list you will ever need

I have been working on mindfulness so I dont make hasty decisions but stay calm and present to the moment (and dont start madly clicking on amazon ) As a family we have been working through the exercise in the fabulous book I am here now

I have also been checking out the charity shops (new is so overrated) for summer clothes. A charity shop haul can save you a fortune

I keep reading my favourite thrifty blogs for inspiration on shopping well on a budget (or not shopping) to keep my thrifty mindset strong.

These will keep me on a thrifty track!

The Fabulously Frugal Things I’ve Done This Week Linky rules:

We’d love you to join in with us by sharing what frugal and thrifty things you’ve been up to this week – whether it’s an Instagram picture (#5frugalthings), a blog post or even a video. Just add your link to the linky at the bottom of this post.

You don’t have to share five things you’ve done, anything thrifty or frugal that you’ve been doing is perfect.

Let’s make this a great little community linky so it would be brilliant if you could comment on a couple of the other blog posts linked up. We’ll make sure that we comment on all posts and if you have a Pinterest friendly image then we’ll Pin your post to one of our boards too.

Make sure you include the line below to tell everyone you’re linking up:

I’m linking up with this Cass Emma and Becky in this week’s ‘Five Fabulously Frugal things I’ve done this week’s linky.

I love charity shops, apparently we have some awesome ones in Sheffield but I haven’t yet checked them out (only moved here in December). I need to dedicate a day to go round them and look for bargains.

    Great post.

I’ve followed along with you pinterest board, it’s always great to discover new money saving tricks you might not have thought of.

My husband always drops on in charity shops and has some amazing clothes he paid peanuts for! I struggle to find clothes that fit in racks and racks of sizes… keeping my eyes peeled means I can occasionally drop on a charity shop bargain. Fortunately, I like a less is more approach with my wardrobe 🙂

I love browsing charity shops for my little girl, have found her lots of nice bits in the next size up. Each time she outgrows clothes I’m prepared now!

Your blog has given me serious shopping goals now. And, charity shops will prove to be amazing. Though, I haven’t browsed any charity shop, yet I would love to check and treat my closet with great stuff. Thank you for sharing such an amazing money saving tip. I am going to share this with all my friends.
