As for the options available to you…well, you might just find yourself spoilt for choice. And that’s exactly why we’ve narrowed down a shortlist of suggestions – each with its own unique charms and points of appeal.

Go for any of these four and you really can’t go wrong:

Beach Break in Devon at Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks

First of all, Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks is known far and wide across the UK as one of the most epic places for family fun, all year-round. But what’s even better about heading their way at this time of year is the opportunity to get the kids involved in their annual ‘Halloween Spooktacular’. From October 28th up to the big day itself, these fun-filled family parks are transformed from top to bottom into the most incredible Halloween-themed experiences imaginable.

This year, there’ll be trick or treat trails, the Pumpkin Parade Ball, themed games, Halloween arts & crafts, face painting and Spooky Spectacular ShowTime. And as always, there are some great deals and discounts to make the most of, before all available places are booked up and gone for good!

Outside the parks themselves, Woolacombe Bay is simply stunning at all times of year. It might not quite be the season for sunbathing and swimming, but you’ll have so much more space all to yourself and the promise of uncrowded local attractions. It won’t take you long to realise that Woolacombe is most certainly not just a summer holiday hotspot!

Love these ideas for an October break. Northern France is so beautiful, we used to go regularly when I was a teenager. Great fun for kids.
