Have your kids watched too much TV this summer?
I find this infographic from Galt Toys quite shocking. My kids certainly don’t watch that much TV!!! We have no more than 1 hour total screen time a day in our house including computer DS and TV (although it is very tempting to switch it on more.)
What about you? Have we as a nation forgotten how to play…or is it becuase money is sparse or kids can’t just play outside? I would love to know what you think!

It is well worth pausing and thinking about this and seeing what you can do to rescue the time you have left. There is no need to think aggh I have no money there is nothing we can do Fun on a budget is absolutely always possible you just seed to sit down with your kids and draw up a great big summer bucket list together.

Great statistics, I hope more parents take notice of this. I can still remember (happily) when my Mum used to take me to Galt in Styal (Wimlsow) when I was a kid. She recently brought out an old wooden train set (not sure if it was from Galt) from almost 30 years ago and my daughter loved it. Kept my daughter away from anything electronic for hours.
