5 frugal things I did this half term

Just a speedy post this week as the kids are off and my hands are full.

Here are 5 frugal things we did this (and every) school holidays.

frugal things I did this half term

Baking – takes ages and occupies the kids really well as they get increasingly independent with their makes. Baking also  uses up our kitchen bits and bobs and keeps me out the shops for treats!

Playdates – having friends to play is my kids number one things to do and just costs me in beans on toast and tidying up time

Parks – parks are perfect no matter what the weather and this week has involved a very muddy game of football with my kids and their friends and some swinging around.

Visiting great grandma (armed with board games) my kids love to visit their GG and she loves to play with them,. Board games are a complete win every time

Feeding the ducks. We just buy a big bag of duck food and separate it into lots of little bags and whenever we need a some fresh air or a change of scene we grab a bag and go find the ducks down out local canal. Simple but always heart warming.

Let’s make this a great little community linky so it would be brilliant if you could comment on a couple of the other blog posts linked up. We’ll make sure that we comment on all posts and if you have a Pinterest friendly image then we’ll Pin your post to one of our boards too.

I don’t know why but I’ve never thought to buy the duck food in bulk – great idea! Thanks for the tip.

Great idea about buying a big bag of duck food. Heading to the park today, while the weather is OK, but will be glad when things get back to normal on Monday.
