Let’s talk about money
I launched a new product this week some FINK converstaion cards with Cass from Frugal Family. These are to encourage to have conversations about saving money (and getting the kids involved tioo) I am very proud of these cards! It is so important – you can read all the financial advice in the world but it’s your money you need to get a handle on and your situation.
Street art in Shoreditch
Well if you want an entertaining afternoon in lovely London that doesn’t cost a penny you cannot really beat and afternoon checking out the street art in Shoreditch. It is so interesting, entertaining, beautiful, thought-provoking, varied and talented. I felt so inspired…just wandering around you see the most amazing artworks. What a way to spend a day.
Second Hand September
At the money blogger awards last week lot of us wore second-hand clothes to promote sustainable fashion and Oxfam’s second hand September campaign. I have to say we all looked pretty awesome! No one needs fast fashion and constant new clothes! You can read more about Second hand September here
The UK money blogger conference – inspired!
As usual this was a mine of excellent information and I was so inspited by so many people. I was especially spurred on by Ken and Mary from The Humble Penny who have paid off their mortgage early. I love to be around people like them, motivated savvy people, it makes me look a new at my own life and think about what changes I can make. I had a good old chat whilst I was there about how to make money writing
No car day
It is World Car Free Day on Sunday 22 September 2019. Can you achieve it? Not only woill it save pollution and improve our health and the health of the planet it will also save us money. I have NO CLUE how to get my daughter to Karate at this point but watch this space I will figure it out somehow.
I also got a brillinat new pair of sunglasses gifted to me for review recently from Smart Buy Glasses. Such a great place to buy glasses from if you are looking for a good deal and they even have 3-d try on! You can make s ome great savings on a range of designer brands including 50% off sunglasses.
