A PlayStation hamper with games for all occassions

Oh my goodness a PlayStation hamper to review!. Just  something for the weekend they said! Wow, this was way more than that!

I am so excited to share my PlayStation hamper with you.

PlayStation games for all the family, playstation hamper

Christmas is coming and soon my kids will be off school for a few weeks and it will be time for us all to relax and have fun. One of the ways we love to have fun as a family is to play games together. For years it was frustration and snakes and ladders..then we moved on to downfall, connect 4 then Cleudo and in the last couple of years Monopoly ( oh it takes forever) has been a firm favourite.

My kids also have a PlayStation4 and she’s mad keen on Minecraft and he’s all about Fifa. The problem is we don’t share this gaming time with them and that is a shame. It’s lovely to connect as a family over a game. We needed to find some PlayStation games we could enjoy together.

I could not have been more delighted than to receive a hamper form Playstation introducing our family to a whole host of PlayStation games that we could enjoy together. They sent us games for every occasion in and a host of PlayStation goodies to go with them.

Would you like a peek? All of these games are available at PlayStation store to buy the games  and the PlayStation products I am going to show you can all be found at the  PlayStation Gear Store

The games they sent were divided into 4 separate categories … let me talk you through them.

All back to mine to explore the Playstation hamper

the games in this category were for those of us (like me) who don’t really know a great deal about gaming. These are simple games where the focus is on fun and having a laugh, games the whole family (even the novice PlayStation players) can all join in.

Frantics – a series of quirky mini-games for 4 players where smartphones can be used as controllers. There are wacky races and secret missions and a wily fox..its great fun.

Chimparty – with this game you can challenge up to three friends and compete in a blitz of 18 wild party games across 90 levels. There are five settings, including haunted castles with spooky ghosts, alien planets with crazy gravity and a pirate harbour filled with cannons and cutlasses.

Sonic mania plus – A classic Sonic game with a host of brilliant new zones.

Sofa Standoffs

Now to the games for the competitive members of the family or to play with friends who like a bit of a challenge. These include:

Fifa 19   – This is my son’s favourite game to play ever. He plays it on his own with his dad and remotely with his BF. Can be played wearing a fab PlayStation FC footie scarf and of course you will need medals and a scoreboard!

WWE 19 – For this game, you will get to be loads WWE Superstars and wrestle in lots of different match formats  You may require a squidgy  PlayStation stress reliever especially if you are getting beaten!

Knowledge is power: Decades  A fabulous quiz show spanning the last four decades. For this game, you might want to grab your PlayStation bottle opener and get the drinks in.

In it together

This collection of games are co-operative games where you work together. For these games, you might want to flick on your PlayStation lights and rustle up some popcorn! Games in this section include:

Overcooked –  A chaotic cooking capers that are really daft and lots of fun!   My kids have loved having a go at this.

Keep talking and nobody explodes – This looks great – just my kind of game! One player is trapped in a room with a ticking time bomb they must defuse. The other players are the “Experts” who must give the instructions to defuse the bomb by deciphering the information found in the Bomb Defusal Manual. How cool!

Lego DC supervillains – players will create and play as an all-new super-villain throughout the game, unleashing mischievous antics and wreaking havoc in an action-packed story. I love the sound of this game and cannot wait to create my villain!

Pass & Play

These are single player games (where you might die pretty quick and need to pass the controller!)

Detroit: Become Human –  This is an 18  so not one for the kids. Lifelike androids have replaced the human workforce. Some of them have started to behave irrationally as if they were feeling emotions. You take control of three androids in their quest to discover who they really are. Sounds exciting!

Life is strange –  This is such an interesting concept it follows the story of a photography senior who discovers she can rewind time while saving her best friend. The pair find themselves investigating the mysterious disappearance of a fellow student. This is a 16.

Crash Bandicoot – The much-loved Crash Bandicoot in loads of new fun adventures. This is a great game for all the family.

Final thoughts

I hope this has given you lots of ideas for new PlayStation games and some cool ideas for possible Christmas gifts with the awesome PlayStation merchandise.

I have to tell you we are just SO excited to have a go at all these games. So far we have tried Overcooked and it was such a giggle. Fifa is a firm favourite too and we just cannot wait to try the rest.I predict lots of family togetherness this Christmas.

Will report back as we try them!

What’s your favourite PlayStation game and are you thinking of getting a new one for Christmas?
