Back on a budgeting track #5frugalthings

I have been a bit AWOL recently as I have and a n enormous work project that has consumed my time but I am pretty much done with it now (will tell you all about it soon) I feel I can begin to be a bit more present/conscious about life again now and look at my finances a bit more closely. Sill even when I am busy I try and make some saves so without further ado here are my saves from this week

Holidays

I am shopping around for a holiday I have been looking at Sibiu which seems to have some great sale on but I am a bit worried that it will be very busy. Anyone got any thought son this or suggestions?

Treats

I have been making homemade icy treats instead of buying them and have lot of lovely ideas if you fancy a go too. I have been blogging about these over at Avant Homes where I write a monthly parenting article do come and have a look here at 3 summer treats your kids will love

Back on a budgeting track

Eating from the garden

My daughter loves gardening club at school and has bought her skills home. She has been tending a little veg patch in our garden and it’s bounty has kept us in lettuces and strwberrries for a few weeks now. I love her new hobby!

Gift buying

Oh, I have had so many gifts to buy recently that I have had to get really creative I love reusing packaging and re-gifting where it would be appropriate and nice !  Have alook at my post on ways to ace gift buying on a budget for more ideas

Grocery shopping

We had been spending way too much and wasting too much again too. Isn’t it sad how quickly these habits resurface when you are busy. So I am going back to grass roots meal planning and using all the money saving grocery tricks I know over the next few weeks to try and pull it back on track. I need to resue my anti-shopping list!

So that’s me just trying to refocus on saving.

I love that list! What we should all be doing to save the planet, not just to save money!
