Choosing our Victoria Plumb bathroom.
Well I showed you what my bathroom looked like pre Victoria Plumb makeover and I have talked you through the changes we are going to make. In this post I want to show you the products we are going to use and how I was guided towards the design of bathroom I want.
I always knew I wanted it fresh, clean, bright. white, modern and functional. Victoria Plumbs stylist encouraged me to hone that vision even more by encouraging me to look at several websites featuring homes and interior design to come up with some idea of what I like. This proved really worthwhile as some designs made me smile and some I skipped straight past.
Both these images are from http://www.housetohome.co.uk/
Samantha Dowle at Victoria Plumb put this inspiration board together for me based on the products I wanted and some of the magazine clippings/websites I showed her that inspired me.
I love it!
So now we have an idea of how the room will look in terms of style and tiling it is time to choose the
products from Victoria Plumb for the makeover.
First we picked this gorgoeus Odessa white two door mirror cabinet which has 3 storage shelves as well as the handy mirror it costs £69. I think this will go above the sink
Next we chose the white wooden bath panel and end panel . I thought these looked solid and expensive . The bath panel cost £49 and the end panel cost £29.and just that bit classier than plastic
We also chose this curved single bath screen £79. I have never had one of these before but am hoping it will save my floor from getting soaked whilst the kids are showering!
Next up we needed to replace the rubbish shower we had that was half brass half chrome and weak! We went for a sleek and stylish look. This quadra valve and slider rail kit £119 has great reviews about it s power and performance.
Next we chose a new toilet Milo close coupled toilet which includes a standard seat. It costs just £59 and is just perfect for our room.
Last but not least we have ordered gorgeous Matrix basin taps £49
and the Matrix bath taps£59
and that is that…all the products from Victoria Plumb to modernise our bathroom.
Excellent prices I’m sure you’ll agree and really classy items.
The cost of all these items comes to £512.
Which is astounding considering we are changing so many key features.
The next step in our makeover will be installation. Victoria Plumb have kindly arranged this for us and are also providing new tiles for the floor and walls in order to showcase the transformation to it best effect, Bathroom Connections work closely with Victoria Plumb and will be installing their products for us. That’s a relief… they are clearly great at installing bathrooms whilst we are inept at shelving!
There is a lot to do but we have a very clear plan now, the products are all ordered and we are so excited! Now we just have to strip out all the old stuff!
I’m surprised the items are such great value to be honest! Love that shower and the taps are great too. It’s going to look so sleek and modern! Really looking forward to the finished result!
