How to identify water pressure problems

My washing machine broke this week and it was HUGE problem. The clothes pile mounted up I got stressed out and friends had to be rallied to help me out. How my poor old mum used to cope with her twin tub  I have no idea. We take water for granted so much don’t we, but then when it’s gone…aaggh!

Water Pressure Problems is a new website whose aim is to tackle the rising topic of water pressure problems causing wastages and more money for consumers. It shows you how to identify water pressure problems and what to do.

Feel free to take a look at this simple test on water pressure they’ve put together and why not have go. All you have to do is time yourself filling a jug and as a result it will tell you if you have low water pressure and what you can do and what you should say to a plumber should you need one. They also show you a simple way of identifying what kind of plumbing system you have. How useful is that!

I have to say water pressure is not something I ever think about until there is actually a big problem  e.g no water in the tap (or washing machine!)  but I actually didn’t realise but there are all sorts of problems that arise of you have low water pressure. On the water pressure problems website it shows you some of the symptoms of low water pressure which include issues such as it taking ages to fill a bath and showers cutting out when you flush the toilet.

Check out this rather interesting infographic…. I’m actually surprised how little water a dishwasher uses and how much a bath uses!
