My Frugal and Fabulous Week #5frugalthings

Oh, what a fabulous week I have had this week! My book Create Your Own Happy that I co wrote with Penny Alexander has been published and has shot up the Amazon charts. It si full of thrifty and fun and simple ways to boost kids happiness so that has to be my first frugal thing.

Fabulous week

Next, my kids went back to school and we have decided packed lunches work out cheaper for us and that the kids will mostly walk to school as the buses are pricey!  Small savings always add up!

Then well we wanted to launch our a new book with a celebratory blogger lunch and we wanted to treat our local blogger friends. In the end, we decided to self-cater rather than book a restaurant so I just cooked up pizza and some salad bits and we had a lovely meal and hours of crafting and chatting and it was much cosier and informal and inexpensive than eating out

We also wanted to find a way to spread our create your own happy message that was fun and inclusive of as many people as possible so we snail mailed and gave out 100 painted stones around the Uk. YOu can have a look at her to find out more about our Happiness Rocks project

and the last but not least we gobble up the leftovers (because I always over cater) and had these for tea and lunch the next day.  Oh I love having leftovers and not having to look it feels such a treat!

How was you week thrifty friends?

The Fabulously Frugal Things I’ve Done This Week Linky rules:

We’d love you to join in with us by sharing what frugal and thrifty things you’ve been up to this week – whether it’s an Instagram picture (#5frugalthings), a blog post or even a video. Just add your link to the linky at the bottom of this post.

You don’t have to share five things you’ve done, anything thrifty or frugal that you’ve been doing is perfect.

We’d like to make this a great little community linky so it would be brilliant if you could comment on a couple of the other blog posts linked up. We’ll make sure that we comment on all posts and if you have a Pinterest friendly image then we’ll Pin your post to one of our boards too.
