Simple Summer Fun #5frugalthings

Hi – hope your summer holidays are going really well. It s been so busy here that time has just been running away with me  but we have been having a lot of frugal fun

Heres are a few frugal things we have been up to:

Camping with friends

We spent a lovely weekend camping in Wales with friends, spent nothing at all really except for a bit on food and just really walked and read and hung out with friends. Just absolutely delightful.

Writing in the woods

We had a lovely walk in the woods this week and I gave my daughter and myself a  little writing prompt and we sat writing for a while surrounded by trees. It was so lovely  – precious times.

Simple Summer Fun

Playing games

We played a couple of new to us board games this week and 2 that we all loved included Love Letters and  Carcassone these are definitely going on the kids Christmas list. Board games are a great investment as they give hours and hours of pleasure for just an initial outlay ( if you think of this in comparison to  family trip to the cinema it’s probably cheaper to buy the board game AND you will get hours more entertainment from it)

Prepping for a boot sale

Clutter, clutter everywhere. I have got myself a pile of cardboard boxes and my plans are to be RUTHLESS this weekend and spend a few hours filling those boxes with books and games clothes and bits and bobs so that we have enough for a care boot dale and my home looks better. it is ages since I did a boot sale!

Upcycling

I did some plant pot upcycling last week and I think it turned out just great…would you like a peek?

The Fabulously Frugal Things I’ve Done This Week Linky rules:

We’d love you to join in with us by sharing what frugal and thrifty things you’ve been up to this week – whether it’s an Instagram picture (#5frugalthings), a blog post or even a video. Just add your link to the linky at the bottom of this post.

You don’t have to share five things you’ve done, anything thrifty or frugal that you’ve been doing is perfect.

We’d like to make this a great little community linky so it would be brilliant if you could comment on a couple of the other blog posts linked up. We’ll make sure that we comment on all posts and if you have a Pinterest friendly image then we’ll Pin your post to one of our boards too.

How to say I can't afforfd that

You’re more than welcome to copy and paste the badge above but it would be even better if you could let your readers know that you’re linking up with us by adding a little line to the bottom of your post like this one:

I’m linking up with Cass Emma and Becky in this week’s Five Fabulously Frugal things I’ve done this week linky.

So, tell me about your thrifty week…was it a good ‘un?
