Clothes to keep kids safe in the sun

Oh those summer holidays are just around the corner and I dont know about you but I just cannot wait! I am hoping for gorgeous sunshine and lots of outdoor play.

We are planning a few days at the beach too. My kids absolutely love going to the seaside and can spend hours and hours just playing happily in the sand.

It is so important to me they are sun safe though and I do worry about that. Sunuva recently send me some lovely swim wear products to review for my kids and I have to say I am delighted with them they are just perfect for the summer.

Sunuva are really on top of sun protection in regard to the UV sun-protective kids clothing that they sell.

This gorgeous Starburst swimsuit got the big thumbs up form my 6 years old daughter as it is so pretty with its ruffle and pretty stars. It also got a big thumbs up form me as its made from  UPF 50+ fabric, which blocks out 97% of the sun’s harmful rays. I like it when we both agree.

For my son we were sent these lovely Under the Sea swim shorts form Sunuva. Again they had his seal of approval and mine. The sun protection factor of UPF 50+ just really bring piece of mind and they look amazing too.

Both kids found their swimsuits really comfy and stylish and were happy to wear them. For me these are a really sensible and safe choice. They cost £37 and

Sunuva have some really useful information on their site too….did you know?

  1. Providing your child with the best sun protection is absolutely essential as children’s skin is thinner, far more sensitive and can be damaged much more easily.
  2. Skin cancer is now the most common type of cancer in the UK Melanoma is now the common cancer in young people aged between 12-24 years (Cancer Research UK).
  3. Four out of five cases of skin cancer are preventable by sensible behaviour, especially during childhood
  4. Children should stay out of the sun between 12  and 3pm when the sun is at it’s hottest.

All good advice!

Sunuva sell a whole range of lovely sun and swimwear…roll on the holidays!
