Lego Arctic Outpost Review – My kids love Lego and until recently its been all about Lego Ninjago and Lego friends and not much shared interest.
That is until they discovered Lego Arctic.

Lego Arctic Outpost Review
House of Fraser have some brilliant construction toys and the Lego arctic outpost they sent us to review has gone down a storm with both my son and daughter.

It has lot so detail inside the truck and so many story posiiblities they have had lots of fun playing with it.

There are many other sets in this series which all work together to make a brilliant arctic landscape. This is the perfect play range and great for adventure loving kids who love construction and imaginative play.
Lego Arctic Outpost is fabulous.
Here are some great benefits of playing with LEGO Arctic sets (like LEGO City Arctic or other Arctic-themed LEGO):
🧠 1. Builds Imagination & Creativity
The Arctic theme is full of explorers, animals, machines and icy landscapes — so you can invent your own stories and adventures, like rescuing a trapped polar bear or discovering a frozen shipwreck.
🛠️ 2. Develops Problem-Solving Skills
When you snap pieces together and follow (or adapt!) the instructions, you’re practicing logical thinking, planning ahead, and dealing with challenges — all skills you use in school and daily life.
📚 3. Encourages Learning About Science
Arctic sets often include elements like icebreakers, snowmobiles, and research stations. These can spark curiosity about:
-
real-world climate and polar environments
-
how scientists study animals and weather
-
the adaptations of Arctic animals
(If you’re curious, I can explain more about the real Arctic too!)
🤝 4. Teaches Focus & Patience
Completing a set — especially a bigger one — takes time and attention. That helps with:
-
sticking with a task
-
breaking big tasks into smaller steps
-
staying focused until completion
🎯 5. Fine Motor Skills Practice
Picking up small bricks, connecting them, and placing tiny accessories improves hand-eye coordination and dexterity — useful for writing, art, sports, gaming, and more.
👯 6. Fun Social Play
LEGO Arctic can be played with friends or siblings — building together, creating coordinated stories, or even making your own Arctic base with custom ideas.
🌍 7. Encourages Storytelling & Role Play
Whether it’s rescuing animals from an ice cave, launching a snowmobile mission, or flying a helicopter over a research station, you’re naturally practicing narrative skills and expressive play.
Inside the truck is mobile lab with an impressive range of equipment to help you with research. Using the tools provided you can cut through the ice block with the chainsaw you can then activate the crane to lift the ice into the lab to be studied.

I love the explorer/scientist theme to this range and we will most certainly be adding to it in future.

There are huskies!
