Hello from Family Budgeting!
Hi, I’m Becky and I am a mum of two. My children are aged 4 and 7 and for the last 8 years, I have been a stay at home mother and part-time writer.
This is my new blog all about living creatively on a budget when you have school-aged kids. For the last 2 years, I have been blogging over at Baby Budgeting which is a website dedicated to parents of under 5’s and packed with money-making and money-saving ideas. My little ones are growing up fast and my baby has just started school. Financial issues change as your children grow and I felt it was time for a new site to explore all these new ideas so hello from Family Budgeting.
I shall still write over at Baby Budgeting because I am passionate about ways to help people afford more time with their children but I am excited about blogging here too. I want this to be a space filled with tips, ideas, profiles, thoughts and creative posts on living well on a budget with our school-aged children.

I look forward to your ideas and tips on this. It’s becoming increasingly harder to survive in these tough economic times.
My recent tip, use a grandparent who is out shopping much of the time to look out for plimsoll bargains. We saved £10 this way.
Thanks Emma
