Home Makeover on a Budget: Playroom Final Reveal

Supported by The Range

Well its been a long journey from very messy mucky playroom conservatory to the lovely well used room I finally have and I can’t tell you how pleased I am  with this  makeover. Do you recall how it look initially …

yep a room full of ‘stuff’ barely used, always a mess and with no real identity or purpose except to put things in it. We chose some items form the Range and Jen from Lovechicliving.co.uk helped us create a vision of how this room could look taking into account what we wanted it to do and the lovely items from The Range that we had chosen…

Looking at the chaotic mess that was the playroom I could not conceive how we would reach such a stylish relaxing  room but we made a plan. It involved a huge amount of sorting and decluttering.

The end result did not look exactly like the mood board of course dolls house and baby prams inevitably belong in a playroom after all but gosh this room is just so much better now.

Financially it cost about £350 to makeover this room if you total up our items from The Range and our paint we used. Absolutely money well spent. We never used this room before.  Now it has all we need.

Everything we have chosen has been functional and practical  pieces that lend comfort and much needed storage to this room. Oh and this…..This Ivory Mounted Collage Photo Frame is a stylish photo frame holds 10 x (5inch x 7inch) photos. I think its lovely and perfect for the playroom filled up with photos of the kids.

We also got a simple white  CD tower for £34.99 which I am using for audio books, a box of chalk easy access pens and bits and bobs like that. We got a large read tassle throw lovely for cosying on the chair for £19.99

and probably the most useful item of all ……The really useful unit which cost £39.99 from the Range

Storage tower with 8x7 litre Really Useful Drawers

This storage tower is awesome. we had a great time filling it and it has really sorted us oput. We have googly eyes in one drawer, feathers in another , paint , paper, glue sticks, all seperated and sorted for easier access. We have used these far more since this lovely rainbow tower came into our lives

My favourite piece has to be the Derry Swivel chair which I showed you a few weeks ago. We have all loved using it. my son reads in it or plays on the Ipad  and has a bit of piece form his chattering little sister. She reads her school books to me sat on my knee. I escape Saturday football  matches on the TV by escaping to our lovely chair with a good book or the phone and my hubby dives in their for 5 minutes peace every now and again too. Its a lovely chair and a peaceful room now.

So do you want to see it…the final reveal?

Doesnt’ it look better!
