Milk & Honey: A store cupboard face mask

milk honey facemask, store cupboard face mask

I am a big believer in pampering yourself, taking a little time out of your busy life to take a deep breath relax and help yourself feel good.

Retinol cream is a great product but I love face masks they just seem to put the zing back into your skin and help you look and feel refreshed. I thought I would have a go at making one of my own.

I used ….(and this is just so simple to remember)

  • 1 tbsp. of milk
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp of runny honey

Simply pop in a bowl and mix well.

First you cleanse your skin and then add the mask in small circular motions avoiding the eyes. Smells good right?

This will be very sticky so do wear and old t shirt. Now try and sit still for 10 minutes before removing the mask with a warm flannel.  I popped some cucumber slices on my eyes whilst it was on too give my eyes a refresh too, then simply rinse with cold water.

Bet you feel zingy and refreshed!

Oh I so need to do this! It’s finding the time for me that’s so hard. My son gave me a bath bomb for Christmas and I still haven’t used it. I’m going to resolve to take some me time this week!

I’d never thought of using milk and honey to make a face mask before, but I understand the idea behind it. Honey is supposed to have great healing properties. What a great way to pamper yourself using basic household ingrediants.

Making time for my skincare is something I rarely do. It’s nice to know I don’t need expensive lotions and potions to take care of my complexion
