As always, we’d love you to join in with us by sharing what frugal and thrifty things you’ve been up to this week – whether it’s an Instagram picture (#5frugalthings), a blog post or even a video. Just add your link to the linky at the bottom of this post.
You don’t have to share five things you’ve done, anything thrifty or frugal that you’ve been doing is perfect.
You’re more than welcome to copy and paste the badge above but it would be even better if you could let your readers know that you’re linking up with us by adding a little line to the bottom of your post like this one:
I’m linking up with this Cass Emma and Becky in this week’s ‘Five Fabulously Frugal things I’ve done this week’ linky.
1. Took my 2 year old to museum of science and industry on monday. It’s free entry and there is plenty of things for kids to do. Was there for 4 hours and didn’t see it all. As always took a home made picnic and sat in picnic area at museum. Paid for bus fare and that’s it.
2. My best friend become a member of national trust this year and is always looking for days out to get her moneys worth so on Tuesday we went to Durham Massey where she was able to get free parking. Had a beautiful walk and an outdoor picnic. 2 year old loved the ?, ? and I did treat her to an ice cream at the end. But no other money needed to be spent and again spent 4 years there. Paid for ice cream and that’s it.
3. Today weather was not great so we went for a walk to feed duck, jump in puddles and met a friend for warming cup of tea at local garden centre which had a child play zone at the cafe. 2 year old loves to look at all the animals for sale, espically the fish and wander around toy section. Paid for a cup of tea and that’s it.
4. Tuesday was an indoor raining day. So we made biscuits, had an indoor teddy bear picnic, watched frozen…again and went through all the toy boxes, playing with them while also giving me a chance to sort through and charity shop what she no longer plays with. Paid for flour and that’s it.
5. Wednesday we had arranged a play date in the afternoon at a friends house for a few hours. So in the morning we walked to the park near my friends house and played in the park. We don’t often go there as it’s a good 45 min walk. Once there 2 year old loved it as it’s a lot bigger then our local park. We also took paper to make paper planes, bubbles to blow and chalk to draw. Was a full day and spent nothing!
