I’m thinking podcasting and pizzas this week!
Hello my friends how has your week been mine had been EXCITING! the first week of the summer holidays this week and shielding ends for me tomorrow. My kids are happy seeing lots of their friends and the sun is shining. life is, for now, smiling on me.
It has been a lovely week.
I am aware of how temporary good fortune is so I always acknowledge it when it comes!
Podcasting and pizzas
So what have I got to tell you this week?
Podcast news
I started a podcast about children’s emotional wellbeing. I know I write about money here but I am actually with my other hat on a post-graduate qualified psychotherapist and a parenting author. I also write a blog called emotionally healthy kids in case you fancy a visit. Anyways back to podcasting. I ended up in a technology rabbit hole looing at posts and all-new microphones and … agggh this looked potentially expensive. UNtil! I found a free and simple way to do using Anchor.
Hurray for free and double hurray for simple. You can have a listen to my Emotionally Healthy Kids podcast here and I would love, love, love you to subscribe. Just click on the image below
and please do have a listen to my first post
You’d think that would be enough excitement for one week, wouldn’t you? It’s something I have wanted to do forever!
Running
Now don’t get me wrong I run slower than I walk but I have begun the couch to 5k m with my daughter and today is a second time out. I have been promising I will do this with her for ages. it’s a free activity to do together and I think it will do me the world of good. If I survive it! last time out I only ran 6 minutes total and was shattered! watch this space
Games
We love a good board game and I have been digging some old ones out the cupboards to play on these lovely long summer evening. So far we have had a dobble tournament and played Chess and Carcasonne. Great fun. Do you have any board game recommendations for me?
Pizzas and puddings
This week I made pizza dough something I haven’t made since school . Yes, it was from a packet but STILL! Normally we have our pizzas on tortilla base but I thought I’d got for a more authentic pizza base. It was super easy and my family declared they tasted just like pizza Hut pizza a win! I also tried my hand at homemade vegan Yorkshire puds. they were okay but too dense. We’ll keep trying. my daughter has been vegan 9 months now and she really misses these.
Our giving garden
Our homegrown tomatoes are flourishing and yesterday I took my lovely aunty sweetpeas lettuce and tomatoes from our giving garden. All free, all perfect and full of goodness from my home to hers. Could there really be a better gift?
