This year, go camping

This year, go camping

You want to go on holiday, and to check out the latest prices, you often find yourself looking in the window of a travel agency. However, you baulk at the price of a week away in a Mediterranean resort, and wonder if there’s any way that you could ever go on holiday. Fortunately, there are many caravan sites around the UK which are highly affordable, and during the summer, a camping holiday is surely better than staying in a sweltering hotel.

The facilities on offer at many UK campsites are just as good as those on offer at most hotels, and because you’ll be closer to the outdoors, there’s no end to what you can do during your camping holiday. Some parts of the country are laden with top-quality campsites which are family friendly, close to towns and villages with all the amenities you could need or want, and on site, they have shops, bathrooms and even on-site adventure playgrounds and swimming pools.

Some of the best campsites worth visiting in the UK include those based along the coast such as Silver Sands Holiday Park in Helston, Cornwall and the Cardigan Caravan and Camping Site, which lies just a few minutes away from the coast of South West Wales. Seaside campsites allow holidaymakers with kids to take a trip to the seaside at any time they like.

Other popular UK campsites are located near National Parks. Good examples include the Kingsmead Centre in Devon, which is located near both Exmoor and Dartmoor, and Hillcrest Park near Richmond in North Yorkshire, which is just a stone’s throw away from the Yorkshire Dales and not much further away from the North York Moors.
