So this past 2 weeks I have been cleansing and learned a bit about thrifty food
- Dig underneath the top punnets of fruit and get the ones with the longest best before date you can.
- Putting fruit thats looking soft in smoothie is healthy and reduces waste!
- You save a lot of money by ditching junk food as its not always cheap and it doesnt fill you up
- Drinking tap water in a pub or a meal out rather than diet coke or a beer is SO much chepaer
- Meal planning your healthy eating is a must on a cleanse and so you really do not wate what you buy
So yes my cleanse has been thrifty! I lost 12 lbs in weight and feel like I learned so much!

You don’t have to share five things you’ve done, anything thrifty or frugal that you’ve been doing is perfect.
You’re more than welcome to copy and paste the badge above but it would be even better if you could let your readers know that you’re linking up with us by adding a little line to the bottom of your post like this one:
I’m linking up with this Cass Emma and Becky in this week’s ‘Five Fabulously Frugal things I’ve done this week’ linky.
Twelve pounds! That’s amazing! Your tips are spot on – I don’t struggle with drinking water (like my husband does – he can’t stand it as he’s been drinking fizzy drinks for his whole life) but I found that cucumber water is a great way of making myself drink even more as it’s so tasty (and cheap).
Well done on the weight loss! Some great tips. I love making smoothies with over ripe fruit.
I have been drinking more tap water while out recently – mostly to be a bit healthier.
Wow that’s an amazing weight loss! Hope you feel better too. I know when I stick to healthy options and drink lots of water I always feel much better than if I eat junk.
Wow. Well done ✅ weekends always let me down fall, as my taste buds hate the thought of cos fruit and veg. So I’ve been making warm carb free snacks such as Avacardo or tomatoe crisps made with Parmesan, salt pepper and a title pice oil. Yum, quick and satisfying
