Create Your Own Happy
I am so very, very, VERY excited to tell you about the book I co-authored with Penny Alexander. Our book is published this week by Harper Collins, it is called Create Your Own Happy and here it is!
Create your own happy – what’s it all about
Let me tell you a bit about it.
Create Your Own Happy is a fun-filled, jam-packed activity book for kids designed to teach them a whole host of ways to boost their own happiness levels.
It is for 7-11-year-olds but to be honest couldn’t we all do with knowing how to boost our happiness levels? There is something in this for everyone, for kids who like to craft or talk, invent or reflect, listen or dance. Every activity is backed up by science, comes with an inspiring quote and an interactive activity. This is a book to be drawn in, stuck on and used!
The first section of Create your own happy is all about how to make yourself happy. The second section of the book is about how to make others happy and the third section of the book is about how to make the world a happier place.
Here is an example of a couple of the activities:
40% of our happiness is within our control. Let’s encourage our kids to embrace their power to create their own happy every single day!
Research by the NSPCC has revealed that there are a 1/3 more mental health referrals from primary school now than there were 3 years ago. Our book aims to help our kids feel more emotionally robust and resilient by helping them take positive steps towards feeling happier.
The one thing every parent/carer wants for their kids is for them to be happier. We absolutely need to teach them … create your own happy – we can all do this and this is our contribution to the cause!
