I haven’t yet seen Inside Out Disney Pixar’s latest smash hit movie but my son (age 11) has and he rates it as one of the best films EVER!
He says it’s really different, it makes you think and it is funny.
I love that it is a film that explore emotions and how they effect us and that it introduces children to this concept too.
Here’s a little run down of what the film is actually about in case like me you are waiting to see it
Inside Out is a film based in ‘Headquarters’, the control centre inside 11-year-old Riley’s mind. Five Emotions are hard at work, led by light-hearted optimist Joy, whose mission is to make sure Riley stays happy. Fear heads up safety, Anger ensures all is fair and Disgust prevents Riley from getting poisoned – both physically and socially. Sadness isn’t exactly sure what her role is, and frankly, neither is anyone else.
Anger was my son’s favourite character!
To celebrate the new movie the Disney Store has a whole new range of fabulous toys based on the characters and sent me some to review.
As always with the Disney Store the quality of the merchandise is top notch. I adore the journal …a great idea to encourage kids to write down their feelings (or for my to do list!) and cuddly Anger is rather fabulous too!
I’ll be off to see the film soon with my daughter. Have you seen it? What did you think?
