My frugal week

My frugal week

So here is my thrifty, frugal week. What have you been up to?

The Fabulously Frugal Things I’ve Done This Week Linky rules:

We’d love you to join in with us by sharing what frugal and thrifty things you’ve been up to this week – whether it’s an Instagram picture (#5frugalthings), a blog post or even a video. Just add your link to the linky at the bottom of this post.

You don’t have to share five things you’ve done, anything thrifty or frugal that you’ve been doing is perfect.

We’d like to make this a great little community linky so it would be brilliant if you could comment on a couple of the other blog posts linked up. We’ll make sure that we comment on all posts and if you have a Pinterest friendly image then we’ll Pin your post to one of our boards too.

Brilliant to hear about setting up a debit, so money goes into savings at the start of the month, rather than waiting until the end of the month when there might be nothing left. This has worked so well for me. I’ve taken advantage of a couple of the regular savings accounts linked to my current accounts. The First Direct and Nationwide Flexclusive Regular Saver accounts both pay 5% for a year, which is a lot more interest than I could get on an ordinary savings account elsewhere.

So with you on the talking to children about the need to spend money. My Josh had his birthday 4 weeks ago and is itching to spend all of his money…we have had many a chat about what he needs and what he wants. And hes still got about half of it left.
