We have long been fans of the lovely Orchard Toys products. They are robust, sturdy, well thought out, educational and most importantly iof all always engaging and always fun.
This time we have been reviewing Football Game for 5-11 years olds. My son is a very keen footballer and anything to do with football draws him close. This game is a bit like an advanced and much more interesting snakes and ladder game. Basically you are trying to score a call and the ball goes back and forwards as you try to to get there to take a shot. It’s a nice and easy game, kids love spinning the spinner to see what happens next and its all about luck so younger players are in with a chance of winning too (very important in this house!)
I thought it might only appeal to my son but I found my 5 year old daughter playing her own version of it with her cuddly dogs! How cute is this photo!
Educationally it encourages
- Encourages observation, interaction and turn taking
- Develops instruction following and counting skills
- Links with National Curriculum Maths Key Stage 1
