On Monday I tool my 10 year old daughter and her friend out on their school inset day to Go Ape.
Have you heard of Go Ape?
We went to Sherwood Pines in Notts one of the most beautiful forests I have ever had the pleasure to visit. The girls attempted Treetop Junior which is basically a junior high ropes course.
It’s a fun filled hour of canopy exploring, trail blazing and obstacles for all to enjoy. You’ll negotiate crossings and finish on a high (literally) with one awesome zip wire.
The course is aimed primarily at 6 – 12 years old ( but do check height and weight restrictions before you go and parents can go on with their kids.)
Go Ape Tree Top Junior adventure can take up to 1 hour to complete and that includes the safety briefing. I have to say I listened in carefully and the safety briefing was very clear. The instructor was kind and jolly and made sure the kids were listening and understood. In fact all the instructors (and there were plenty of them) were friendly and supportive and this was reassuring to anxious parents like me.
