How has your week been my money-saving pals? It’s been celebrated in style here and isn’t it funny how the best things are pretty much always free
Here’s how I made the most of my birthday on a budget.
How I Celebrated my Birthday on a Budget
My birthday was full of lovely people, thought-provoking and beautiful things. here is how we celebrated well on a budget
50 before 50
I was 49 this week so just a year to go to the big 50. I drew myself up a comprehensive list of 50 things to do before I am 50. It is eclectic, mainly inexpensive and it is most definitely exciting.
Beautiful places
On my birthday we headed to the peak district to visit Dovedale and Carsington Water. W packed our own little picnic. Entirely free apart from petrol and just lovely.
People make a party
Visits from a few of my favourite people on my birthday evening made it super special. No more than tea was drunk but oh how precious to spend time together after all these months apart.
Wrap me Up
I love getting reusable wrapping for my birthday gifts and I squirrel it away immediately and with glee knowing I can use it again and it will save me!
Books, Books, Books
I got a super pile of books for my birthday. You c don’t; get much more value for money than book do you? Inexpensive and hours and hours of entertainment that often lasts with you much longer than a book. I love to gift on my books when I have read them too such a precious gift and free if you got it as a gift in the first place right?
