Every Wednesdayduring August, Halfords is hosting a free bike workshop for kids across the UK at their local Halfords store. Over 30,000 kids to date have benefitted from workshops that teach 7-11 year-olds the basics of things to check on their bike.
‘The workshop gives children the opportunity to learn basic bike repair, safety and maintenance skills free of charge. Not only are the classes educational but they’re also fun and interactive – a great alternative to spending hours at home on tablets or games consoles.
What a fun free thing to do in the school holidays.
Children who take part in the workshops receive a certificate, a 10% discount voucher and entry into a drawing competition to win a bike. Children must be accompanied by an adult and the classes provide a great starting point for children and parents to go home and try out the skills they have learnt together on their own bikes.
