How to Make an Easter Tree
I thought I would share a little tutorial with you on how to make an Easter tree.
We make an Easter tree every year to sit at the centre of our table on Easter Sunday.
It is a little tradition of ours and something the children have always loved to do. It has had various incarnations over the years but this year is definitely one of my favourites so far. It is very fresh and simple design and was a lot of fun to create.
We always use a basic white tree that we purchased from Hobbycraft years ago now. We decorate it with hearts for Valentine’s day, baubles at Christmas and red leaves in Autumn. Sometimes we scrunch up pink tissue paper and make it a blossom tree for Spring. It is rather a wonderful thing our white tree – much loved and well used.
This Easter we strung it with wire daisies, wooden hearts which we filled with chocolate eggs and ceramic, hand decorated ornaments. The girls painted some ceramic eggs and everything was strung.
Doesn’t it just look lovely?
How to Make an Easter Tree with reluctant crafters
My children are 10 and 13 now and my son is a more reluctant crafter but my daughter is still hugely keen. As soon as her friends come to play I set them up with lots of craft supplies and they get creative. I love to see it.
