My little girl is 6 and decided this year she wanted to learn how to make your own Christmas cards.
I had a good look around pinterest and some crafts sites and got lots of ideas but some looked pretty complicated and some needed things that we don’t have. In the end I just got out lots of Christmastime bits and plonked them on the table. We decided to use out own imaginations and rather than spending anything we would simply work with what we had.
Luckily fo rme I had been sent some really useful craft review items form Bostik. We had 2 types of glu dots removable (brilliant for glass/photosgrapohs and extra strong for metal /wood and paper.
Me and Lisi had the most wonderful time talking about what she wants for Christmas, Mrs Claus , How Santa must be super fast on his sleigh and we made a variety of cards.
She took a few goes to get the hang of the glitter pens but loved them once she had,. They made so much less mess that glitter.
We also like the glue dots enormously. We didn’t get glue all over our hands and it didn’t soak of wrinkle or tear the paper as normal runny glue can. It work really well too, no leaving it hours to dry and hoping for the best. This stuff is seriously sticky ( but easy for little hands to manage)
Here is Annalise hard at work
and her gorgous Angel
We had such a nice time and thanks to our Bostik products and lots of scrappy bits and bobs I think we made some lovely home grown Christmas cards.
Cute! Looks like you had lots of fun too.
What a very creative little thing you have there! Love the sound of those products, and the cards are lovely! 🙂
We do LOVE making Christmas cards and those glue dots look great to use. The only problem I find is choosing which card to send to whom!!
Oh these are simply gorgeous 🙂 She’s done SO well! Making cards and crafts together is so much better than buying them any day of the week.
Also a total advocate of glue dots – God send!
So sweet – homemade cards are always more special – I love receiving them as well as making them x
Gorgeous, I especially love the ‘ransom note’ style one !
way to go lady! i am planning to make some more christmas crafts and cards this weekend! pinned lovely!
Those cards are brilliant!
We love making cards for any occasion and my girls would go wild over glitter pens!
Oh what brilliant ideas – and I’m big on craft at Christmas.
Awww, they are brilliant 🙂
I’ve never heard of glue dots. They look like a great way of getting younger children crafting without too much of the inevitable mess. Your cards look fantastic and those who receive them will appreciate home made cards so much more than a shop-bought card.
