My thrifty week

I have been shopping at Aldis this week and cooking up a storm with their inexpensive veggies – take a look at my roasted veggie flatbreads here

I  have also been making my cards with Aldi special buy art supplies

I have been talking at a brilliant bloogging conference Blog On and came away with a goody bag packed to the rafters with toys I can squirrel away for Christmas

I watched a Primark haul got clothes envy then completely talked myself into waiting a week before I shop rather than acting on impulse

I  negotiated with my son spending some of his savings on something he really wanted that I could not really afford and we had a great conversation about money and savings.

It has been a good week money wise with savvy shopping, good chats and creativity, I will meet my saving goals!

How’s your week been?

The Fabulously Frugal Things I’ve Done This Week Linky rules:

We’d love you to join in with us by sharing what frugal and thrifty things you’ve been up to this week – whether it’s an Instagram picture (#5frugalthings), a blog post or even a video. Just add your link to the linky at the bottom of this post.

You don’t have to share five things you’ve done, anything thrifty or frugal that you’ve been doing is perfect.

We’d like to make this a great little community linky so it would be brilliant if you could comment on a couple of the other blog posts linked up. We’ll make sure that we comment on all posts and if you have a Pinterest friendly image then we’ll Pin your post to one of our boards too.

How to say I can't afforfd that

I like the sound of those flatbreads! It’s good to teach children to understand the value of money when they are young. They need to know that they can’t have everything that they want!
