I always lovely reading blogs best at Christmas and at summertime because the images shine out with colour, excitement and anticipation. The school holidays are almost upon us the flowers are blooming and the sun is shining.
Let’s hear what is going on in summer blog world.
Britmums carnival
Summer home and garden
To start us off Rachael shares her bits and pieces post, my favourite sort of blog post if truth be told. As Rachael says it’s a ‘cup of coffee kind of post’ A catch up of her world and a little tour of her summer garden. Lovely
Jen at Love Chic Living is showing off her garden makeover one year on from totally replanting it and its looking blooming!
Summer crafts
Liz from me and my shadow share her seaside in a jar craft which looks great fun
We have seashell art over at Fun Crafts Kids and over at Red Ted Art we can find some exciting nature craft play ideas.

Cass from Diary of a Frugal Family has put together a bumper list of 50 things to do this summer in the only blogpost you will need to have an amazing summer
Summer Food
The gorgeous Carolin from Mummy Alarm is sharing her yummy and easy veggie burger recipe
Mario from Adventures in Frugal is contemplating his peanut curry and how learning how to cook better it has reminded him to love life
Lucy form Wonderthrift shares a lovely picnic recipe with us (quite an unusual one too!)
Over at Chez Maximka Galina is sharing her recipe for Orange and rose petal shortbread which is very ‘in season.’
Maggy shares her DIY fruit ice lollies at Life at the Zoo.
And just to give you the head up Emma writes a new blog called Free from Farmhouse about living with a child with allergies and offers lot of useful advice
Summer Plans
In Unfinished Business Kanchan is reflecting on bucket lists (often created by people in the summer- maybe it’s the buckets and spades thing?) and talks about what she wants to achieve in her life. Her wishes for her daughters so resonated with mine I had a little cry!
Paula from Mummy Vs Work is sharing her more traditional summer bucket list and I love that it has a water fight on it as well as some other great aims. Good luck Paula!
Joe over at Daddy Joe Blogs is sharing his Summer goals a project many bloggers are linking up too. His are rather random and rather fun.
Joanne is sharing a list of books to read with your child this summer and has inspired me to seek these out. I love the idea of reading the same book as your kids. Maybe time to finally read Harry potter?
Over at Motherhood Diaries Leyla is sharing her top tips for travelling with toddlers something many parents worry about.
Summer days out
Summer days out are so precious aren’t they…memory making.
Kate from My family fever shares a lovely record of her family fun day at the beach
