Hello hello hello – My Frugal Week

Well, my kids are finally back at school and I have my nose to the grindstone (weird expression) try to catch up.  I have a TREMENDOUS amount of work to do at the moment but as aways I do get a real buzz from it.

 

Sustainable fashion

Crafting with paper

We have been crafting this week, inexpensively crafting with paper inspired by Red Ted Art’s great new book Easy Paper Projects. Pop over here o read my Easy Paper Projects review and see what we made from her book.

Did you know I have a blog called thrifty home which is all about – yep you guessed it …thrifty homes!  I love interior design and being able to have a lovely home and eco-conscious on a budget is something I really believe is possible, This week over at Thrifty Home I have been writing about how zero-waste products can save you money

The savings from going green can be great and of course, you are doing your bit for the environment too.

House Value

We are considering an extension.

It would be so expensive to move but we are wondering how an extension would work for us in giving us the space we crave. It would certainly impact our house value How to increase house value on a budget is another subject I have been writing about this week  – you would be amazed at how some very simple things can make the difference especially when it comes time to sell.     I’m doing #secondhandseptember too and have written quite a bit on my blog and Instagram. I really hope people hop off the fast fashion band wagon forever though. It is so damaging to the environment!
