John Lewis Design Service Bedroom Makeover: Final Reveal

John Lewis Design Service Bedroom Makeover

I am so excited to show you my revamped bedroom as I am completely in love with it.

Do you recall how it looked at the start…all dingy drab and cluttered (Part 1)

I was taken under the wing of the John Lewis design service team and we began planning and piecing together ideas (part 2)

Then began the actual hard work, painting, filling cracks, moving furniture (part 3)

But with our £400 to spend at John Lewis design service, wise planning by them, combining our vision with their know- how we have finally got the bedroom of our dreams. Are you ready……. ( I do feel there should be a fanfare)

Doesn’t the cow parsley wallpaper look gorgeous? Subtle too. I am so pleased with it. The Sanderson paint looks great against it too.

We created a little reading corner just as Daniel from John Lewis Home design service suggested. We adore it. We used white accents on the Eames style chair and picture frames as he also advised.

John Lewis table lamps

The new lamp shades add a warmth to the room and look so cozy when lit up at night

John Lewis Cushions

The lovely putty cushions are wonderfully neutral and will survive any colour changes I make in future (always a good budget option to buy neutral)

All the gloss was kept white and very simple

As advised we had a huge clear out and accessories were kept to a minimum

We did um and ah about these and in the end, we just went with blinds and voile. The simple ready made voile look lovely at the windows and let lots of light in whilst maintaining privacy

and when the lovely cream blackout blind from John Lewis is pulled down it is completely dark.

Bespoke bedroom art

The art work are, as we were advised to make them, totally personal. One little picture says Paris is Always a a Good Idea and the other says Saya Cinta Awak in Malay. We got engaged in Paris and my husband speaks fluent Malay and first said this to me this way. Very sweet. One I  bought off Etsy and the other I made up with Pic Monkey!

How lovely does the room look!

I cannot tell you how much happier I feel about this room. I go there now to breathe when life is hectic.

I go there to  read in peace

I think it is beautiful grown-up simple elegant and romantic.

John Lewis Interior Design Service Review and Results

I would never have used wallpaper or blue and cream I would have used far more accessories yet I still feel I had total input into the redesign of the room. Huge thanks to Daniel Hayley and Louise Law at John Lewis, Nottingham, you have given us a room to fall in love with.  For under £400 too.

Wow!

I think your Home Design service rocks!

Wow, everything looks fantastic, so amazing how a few changes can bring such a change in feeling. I’ve just been looking at some similar wallpaper and was wondering how it would look. Think I might be purchasing for the new house.
