Living Room makeover on a budget.

I love my living room. It is warm and cosy and feels safe and secure, It is the place where I curl up to read a book or chill with my kids watching movies. It is where I chat with my friends for hours and sit in the morning with a coffee for five minutes of peace before the frenzied days begin. It is an important part of hour home.

It has looked the same for a long time now though and I think it is looking a little tired.

Time for a budget makeover I think with a  few key new pieces to update it,

I am absolutely loving this Dixon side table just £129.95 from the Living room furniture range at Furniture in fashion. It is sleek, stylish, clean and contemporary and I think it would really freshen up my living room space as well as being extremely practical for my cups of tea and books!

 

Complimenting this and also from Furniture in Fashion  I also rather like this tall and narrow bookcase (£99.95). Storing vertically rather than horizontally would give a real sense of space in our living room and really lighten and brighten it. Can you tell you how important my books are to me?

 

 

I really need to replace my magazine rack too. Ours is old and made of wicker and unravelling itself. This linea rack (£69.95) in a high gloss finish would go so well with the white and bright scheme I seem to be leaning towards.

A console table for my living room makeover on a budget

This console table would tie into my theme perfectly too and be the ideal place for family photos and perhaps a mirror and our landline. This Astrik console table is priced at £189.96 and is simple and sleek and teeny bit quirky I love it!

So what do you think of my plans? I think I have found some lovely pieces that would really work in a practical and stylistic sense. Oh I do love to plan a makeover, don’t you!
