Hello. hello – a super speedy 5 frugal things this morning with a focus on frugal fun
I have had a lovely week. I popped to Leeds for the UK money bloggers Christmas lunch and got another bargain frugal train travel Though after discussions with my thrifty pals I realised with Trainline I was paying a 75p booking fee so will be looking elsewhere in future!
My good pal Faith blogs at Much more with less was there and inspiring as ever – she always has some great ideas on saving money so do check out her blog
I do find my money blogging pals fabulous to talk too. I was chatting with Thrifty Mum about possibly doing some more frugal fashion posts and link ups maybe monthly – would you be interested in that?
This week I have reviewed a street food restaurant and we are off to the cinema, had some lovely new body lotion and home fragrance and a fridge full of yummy desserts. blogging has it ‘s perks and yes I will reviews all this stuff but undoubtedly a host of lovely treats
Murder mystery on a budget
My kids and I are huge crime fans and tomorrow we are off to Belton House to see one acted out in the beautiful National Trust property. Then we will explore the beautiful Christmas illuminated gardens. So exciting.
At just £4 a ticket this is a great way to see live theatre at a massively reduced cost!
Frugal Christmas dinner thoughts
We don’t suddenly have a bigger tummy (or budget) because it’s Christmas – do strive to avoid food waste and just buy what you know you WILL eat. No one feels good or when overstuffed or throwing out lots of leftover food.
Hows you thrifty week been? ? Do check out the UK money bloggers Christmas giveaway there is a day or so left to win some fabulous M&S hampers…you don’t want to miss out!
I think after a week of shocking politics a little frugal fun was rather needed!
p.S do take a look at how to make reindeer dust and a reindeer dust poem over on my baby budgeting blog for another little saving
