Saving money living better

There are so many times in my life that I have said yes to things that cost me money because I did not want to offend.

Hitting the pause button before agreeing to financial obligations will allow me to really consider if this is how I truly want to spend my money or whether or not I am better saving it. This could be a dinner out, a movie, the theatre or even a short break.

It may seem odd, but sometimes YES I would rather save my cash and so I need to practice and learn how to pause then come up with a polite but assertive response that enables me to say no. This my life and I want to save money live better and do what I want to do with my money not what I feel obliged to do.

Do you hit the pause button or is a yes form you and then regret your default response?

Saying no or pausing before you respond simply takes practice but in terms of easy ways to save money in 2020, it is a simple matter of response.

Perhaps the best way to save money is to set it up so you don’t even notice it. I have a set amount transferred from my bank account along with my bills at the start of each month. This happens without me noticing or thinking. My savings are a priority and just another bill and so they never get put on the back burner.
